Vanish the Veins You Can’t Even See with ClearV™
Vascular lesions, caused by enlarged or broken blood vessels, can take many forms all over the body — from rosacea and port wine stains to spider veins and birthmarks.
There is virtually no downtime and you may resume your daily activities immediately following treatment.
What is ClearV™?
ClearV™ with its unique integrated vein illumination technology allows your clinician to precisely treat vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions, and discoloration of your skin that you can and can't see!
What will ClearV™ do?
Your clinician will use ClearV™ to restore your skin tone and color. Broken capillaries and other visible vascular structures will be gently eliminated from the upper layers of your skin surface. Unwanted vessels will be heated by the laser energy and become less noticeable.
Frequently Asked Questions
All skin areas can be treated. Popular areas are the face, neck, chest, and legs. Discuss your needs with your ReDerm MD professional.
The ClearV™ handpiece is uniquely designed to visualize sub-surface veins with yellow or orange light which are integrated into the handpiece. This provides the treating professional with enhanced visibility, allowing for a more thorough and effective treatment.
Your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. Laser energy will be delivered precisely to the area of your skin being treated. You may briefly feel a warm or hot sensation as the laser pulses are absorbed by the unwanted vessels. Your procedure may take a few minutes to half an hour depending on the size of the area to be treated.
There should be little to no discomfort, however, it varies from patient to patient and depends on the treatment. There is no need for anesthesia and your physician will discuss your options to properly manage any discomfort from the treatment. There should be no prolonged post-treatment discomfort.
Patient responses can vary. Redness and swelling around the treated vessels are usually noted within a few minutes and typically have a "cat scratch" appearance. A sunburn sensation and a slight feeling of soreness are also normal and expected. These reactions tend to subside within 24-48 hours after the treatment.
After 48 hours, the skin over the treated veins will look slightly red, purple, or bruised. Sometimes, the veins will be more visible than they were prior to treatment. This is normal. Within the first two to three weeks, the redness and purple color will begin to fade. Each week, the color will become lighter and the veins will become less noticeable.
It is important to follow your physician’s instructions. You may be given some skincare products and instructions on how to use them. Strictly avoid any sun exposure to the treated area for a minimum of 7 days after the procedure. The treated area is more prone to sunburn and pigmentation change. Keep the area covered and use a sunblock with a protection factor of 30+ and reapply the sunblock every two hours.
Your healing time will depend upon your actual treatment. In most cases, there is virtually no downtime and you may resume your daily activities immediately.
Subsequent treatments are based upon your clinician's recommendation and are typically 4-6 weeks apart. The number of treatments required will depend upon the number of vessels present, the character of the vessels, and your body's ability to heal.
